There are 3 foundational aspects of the healthy human life: Meaning, Contribution, and Love.
Meaning: We seek to find meaning in every event and every relationship. When we can’t get clarity in meaning, we can become anxious and fearful. When we become clear on what our life means in this world, we gain peace and joy.
Contribution: We seek to find our place and how we can best give and receive in the world. When we don’t know how to bring value to the world, we can feel small and insignificant. When we become clear on our gifts, our strengths and our contributions, we gain confidence and purpose.
Love: We seek to be known and loved. When we don’t experience love, we feel unworthy and ashamed. When we become clear on who loves us and why, we experience acceptance and safety.
The result of having Meaning, Contribution and Love is Contentment. It is resting in the belief that no matter the struggles going on around you or in you, there is purpose, growth, and hope.
We believe this to the core of who we are. This is precisely what we seek with each person we work with. If this resonates with you, contact us and let us accompany you through this difficult time in your life.
New to Mind Spa??
Here is the low down on Mind Spa & our Team: who we are, what we do, why we do it & what you can expect in therapy!
Q’s about Therapy?
Not sure you’re ready for therapy? You’re anxious or have questions? We’ve answered the most common questions!
The cost of therapy is a real concern for many. We take time to explain the finances & make it as easy as possible!
Our heart and passion is working with adults who hold to the Christian beliefs that Jesus Loves and Jesus Saves. Yet these beliefs don't eliminate struggles and pain. In fact, sometimes they can be the cause for the pain. Our integrative therapy combines the psychological knowledge about how humans are wired, how we learn, how we grow, and how we overcome adversity with the Christian worldview of why we exist, what our purpose is, and how we overcome adversity.
I am not a Christian. What does therapy look like for me?
Each client at Mind Spa is in control of the level of spiritual discussion in therapy, and you can elect to NOT have these kind of conversations. Additionally, we don’t push our values or beliefs on you. We simply believe it is ethical for us to be transparent about our worldview. No one can separate themselves from their worldview, as it informs virtually every decision that humans make. You may have met other therapists who didn’t disclose their worldview. They are still fully influenced by their beliefs, but were just either unaware or purposefully not disclosing it.
