Sand tray play is a powerful and effective counseling intervention tool for children, teens, and adults. Sand tray play utilizes a wide range of miniature figurines with which clients “build a world” in a tray of sand. With the support and witness of a sand tray therapist, this process of storytelling through images promotes a deepened expression, experience, and understanding of the client's inner world, and thus provides the opportunity for healing on a variety of levels.
Tammi has lived in Cheyenne for ten years and recently left the school district after a nineteen-year career as a school psychologist. As a self-described "brain geek," Tammi will work to help you understand yourself in a way that makes progress seem possible. She is also a trained EMDR trauma therapist and sand tray play therapist. She specializes in ADHD and positive behavior interventions and is open to working with clients of all ages.
Kerry has lived in Cheyenne for 25 years. She received her degree in social work in 2002 and has worked in a variety of settings with clients ranging from preschoolers to adults. She earned her Master's degree in social work in 2017 from Simmons College in Boston. She has an extensive history working with at-risk youth.
