Individual therapy is the most foundational and common form of therapy. As an adult, you have recognized that something or a lot of things aren’t right in your life. You probably have tried a lot of strategies to change or fix the situation. The fact that you are reading this, however, tells us that things still are not where you want them to be. You’ve either tried and not had success or maybe a crisis is happening and you might feel completely at a loss for what to do.
Individual therapy is when you meet one-on-one with one of our therapists to explore your struggles, problems, frustrations, and anything that you are dissatisfied with and want to change. Your Mind Spa therapist has a broad set of skills that they will use and a lot of resources at their disposal. You will examine your situation and circumstances, and collaboratively, you and your therapist will identify what will be helpful and start implementing change. Sometimes, just having a space where you can freely and openly talk about your issues is healing in and of itself. If that’s the case, we have you covered. But often, more is needed to get the most out of individual therapy. Sometimes, the change that happens in therapy is about helping you change your mindset or perspective. Sometimes, the change is about having new experiences that can help you get unstuck. Other times, the change is about helping you learn a new coping or relationship skills.
