What will a session cost you?
Determining what a session will cost you solely depends on your health insurance plan. Our billing team is dedicated to finding this information out for you. After you schedule your first appointment, they will contact your company to gather your mental health benefit details. Expect a call from the them before your first appointment to go over all this information and discuss your estimated financial responsibility.
You will either have a set copay (EX: $45) or you will have a deductible with coinsurance. What is a deductible? Look at it like this, a deductible is the price you must pay before your insurance company starts to help you out. Let’s say your deductible is $1,000. That means you’re going to be paying $1,000 out of your pocket before your insurance covers part of your bill.
Once that deductible has been paid in full, your insurance will cover part of your claims. We call this coinsurance. Coinsurance is a percentage rate, such as 80/20, which determines what the insurance company pays and what you must pay. An 80/20 coinsurance means the insurance covers 80% of the claim and your responsibility is 20%.
Ultimately, you are responsible for any balance after your claims processes. Although we do our best to verify your benefits, the information we receive for your company may not always be accurate. We recommend that you also contact your company to confirm your benefits. If there is a balance on your account before and appointment, we like to give you a call to discuss over the phone rather than at the front desk.
