Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Wyoming and Montana plus a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Montana. My masters’ degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and in Divinity come from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. I’ve provided individual, marriage, family, and group therapy/counseling in a variety of contexts. I’ve worked in the rural and isolated areas of Kansas and Alaska to the big cities of San Diego and San Antonio. Out of my 25+ years as a clinician, 17+ of them have been spent working extensively with the military and their families as a chaplain and war veteran. My experiences have included domestic and foreign hospitals and their trauma rooms, community clinics, private practices, and religious institutions. Issues that I have expertise in are post-deployment readjustment and healing, depression, divorce, PTSD, sexual trauma recovery, marital counseling, family therapy, life-cycle adjustment, and a variety of other individual issues.
My family and I were introduced to Cheyenne, WY a few years ago when I was stationed at F.E. Warren AFB. We liked Cheyenne and decided to stay so I transferred to the Wyoming Air National Guard and further settles into the community. Due of a chaplain ministry opportunity that opened up in my wife’s hometown in Montana, we decided to make a move to that location. However, because of my devotion to my work with Mind Spa over the past several years, I have spearheaded opening a new branch office of Mind Spa in Helena. We are very excited to invest our lives within Helena. I now serve as a Chaplain for the Montana Air National Guard and am a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Montana.
A little about me and my family: I met my wife in Springfield, Missouri, married her in Helena, Montana and have been happily married for about 20 years. We have three very active children. My son, Mathias, was born in Abilene, Texas. My daughter, Michaila, was born in China, We adopted her when she was 10 1/2 weeks old and brought her back to our home in the Unites States. My youngest daughter, Kinsey, was born in San Antonio, Texas.
I enjoy working with people, in helping them heal, grow, and have an enriching life. I’d love to come up beside you in whatever life situation you find yourself in and be your advocate. Give me a call. Let’s talk.
