Life is complicated. We all make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things from our past. But you are not your mistakes and you are not your struggles. I believe that everyone is capable of change. In working with people, I feel that it is important to honor everyone’s past, listen to their story and respect their beliefs to understand how they make meaning of their world. I am committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental environment that fosters self-exploration, encourages growth, restores wholeness and provides hope.
I am a licensed professional counselor with over 15 years’ experience. I enjoy working with children (as young as 18 months), teens and adults. My background includes education and experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and Recreation/Expressive Therapist. My practice incorporates play, art and other expressive and creative therapies. I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), NADA (Auricular acupuncture) and as a CZT (Certified Zentangle Teacher).
I see clients for a variety of reasons including trauma, grief, depression, ADHD, parenting, developmental concerns, anxiety and life changes. I also specialize in working with women with any pregnancy issues (infertility, perinatal and postnatal), including postpartum depression.
Outside of the office, I like to spend time with my family and friends, I love the mountains, hiking and I am an artist that enjoys mixed media and encaustic art. I also enjoys teaching art to others and I love to laugh. Although I am new therapist in Cheyenne, I lived here for several years growing up and graduated from Cheyenne Central. I feel like I am home!
