Licensed Professional Counselor
With over 23 years experience working with individuals, youth, and families, Mary has devoted her life to helping those in need to elevate standards of ego-strength by building on individual accomplishment. She does this by helping to build support systems, by gathering community resources, and by working closely with family dynamics. Mary chooses to use a plethora of effective, evidenced based therapeutic techniques, taylored to each individual and situation. Some of these interventions include CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, that assists with unhelpful or irrational thinking patterns. Mary also utilizes DBT, or Dialectical Behavioral Therapeutic interventions, to help in balancing emotions with situations in a person’s life. Mary is experienced in play therapy, which helps children discover alternative ways of coping with their worries, process and understand fears, and work through difficult emotions.
Mary has worked in many different settings throughout her career as a Licensed Professional Counselor, including outpatient clinics, schools, residential facilities and private practices. She and her husband call Wyoming their home and enjoy fishing, hiking, biking and skiing with pets, family and friends as often as possible.
